Amy Hetzner is a shareholder at Schmidt, Rupke, Tess-Mattner & Fox, S.C.


She has an undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Wisconsin, a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University, and a law degree magna cum laude from Marquette University Law School, where she was an editor of the Marquette Law Review and the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel Quarterly.


Following law school, she worked for over three years as law clerk to Paul Reilly, former presiding judge of the District II Court of Appeals. She is the author or co-author of dozens of appellate briefs, and a former board member of the Appellate Practice Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin.


Her professional memberships include State Bar of Wisconsin (Appellate and Family Law Sections), Waukesha County Bar Association, Milwaukee Bar Association, American Association for Justice (formerly Association of Trial Lawyers of America), Wisconsin Association for Justice (formerly Wisconsin Academy of Trial Lawyers), Society of Family Lawyers and the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin.
