Walter F. Schmidt (In Memoriam)

Walter F. Schmidt co-founded Schmidt, Rupke, Tess-Mattner & Fox, S.C. with John E. Rupke in 1981. He obtained his degrees from Marquette University (Ph.B., 1951) and Marquette University Law School (LL.B., 1954).


Wallie was admitted to the State Bar of Wisconsin (1954) and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin (1954).


Following his retirement, Wallie was of counsel to Schmidt, Rupke, Tess-Mattner & Fox, S.C. He was a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin. During his active practice years, his professional memberships also included the Milwaukee Bar Association (Real Property Law Section).


Although Wallie has passed away, his respect for the justice system and his zealous representation of clients throughout his legal career continue to guide our firm today.
